Mr. Huijun XIONG,Born 1962, Meixian county, Guangdong province, Professor Dr. med. vet.(Germany). Director of International Veterinary Radiology Association(IVRA); President h.c. of Chinese Association of Veterinary Imaging Technique; Vicepresident of Chinese Association of Veterinary Surgery.
He received the Master's degree in veterinary radiology and surgery in July 1987 at the College of Veterinary Medicine, South China Agricultural University (SCAU), where he decided to stay as a teacher. In 1999 he received Doctor medicine veterinary in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany. In Feb.2000 - Apr.2002 he worked as postdoctoral fellow in the mobile postdoctor center, SCAU. Then he was directly promoted from lecturer to professor in 2001.
Prof. Dr. XIONG mainly engaged in his research work in veterinary diagnostic imaging, anesthesia and surgery. He was presented with an outstanding contribution to South China Veterinary Medicine Award(2013), China's pet industry Award(2016),China's pet industry 30 years Lifetime Contribution Award(2016). As a coach, he has lead the SCAU student delegation and won the extra prizes in the group competition of South China Veterinary Medicine Clinical Skills Contest(SCVMCSC) 2010, 2012-2017; in the group competition of National Student Veterinary Medicine Skills Contest(NSVMSC) 2010, 2012, 2014; and in the group competition of “Eagle Cup” Small Animal Veterinarian Skills Contest(SAVSC) 2017.
